I have a question on a long day shooting match.
I shot Area 6 in one day format. I had a good breakfast and my performance was great in the morning. Around lunch time, I felt my focus was not as sharp and start making mistakes. All I ate was a couple granola bars at the match. I was feeling a bit hungry and lack of energy. I didn’t eat lunch because if I eat lunch, I feel tired and indigested but if I skip lunch, I feel the lack of energy.
When you shoot a long day match, like 12 stages a day, how do you stay focused the day?
Thank you for the podcast!
The discussion on the draw/grip was very helpful. I’ve been working on my draw speed for a while, and though the speed is better, the FL first shot accuracy with my DA CZ is bad. Doing this drill in dry fire shows me the importance of having a great grip at the end of the draw. I think this will enable me to have a better hit on the first shot as well as better hits on the rest of the string. Still trying to setup a training session with you…
